I had a comfortable stay overall, enjoying the roomy third-floor accommodations in the Proctor Building. The location was fantastic, just minutes from Acadia National Park, but the service could be a bit more welcoming. The dining experience was great, but the restaurant area felt crowded during breakfast. There were a few cleanliness issues that could be addressed, especially in the rooms.

Rooms

The room was comfortable and fairly clean, but I noticed a need for more attention in the nooks and crannies. It had hardwood floors throughout and a full kitchen with new appliances, which I appreciated.
Service
6.0
The service was generally helpful, especially when we needed hot water for formula, but I found the staff less friendly when we inquired about extending our stay.
Location
9.0
The location was outstanding, just a short distance from Acadia National Park and close to downtown Bar Harbor. The grounds were beautiful, adding to the overall experience.
Dining

Dining was fabulous during breakfast with plenty of delicious choices, although it did get crowded due to too many tables in the area.

The hotel had great amenities, but I didn't get a chance to explore everything fully. The overall feel was nice.

6.0/10

My stay at this hotel had its ups and downs. The location is fantastic, being close to downtown Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, which I loved. The rooms, although they had a beautiful view, were pretty dated and not very comfortable due to temperature issues. The service could definitely use some improvement, as some staff were not very polite. Overall, it’s a great spot for exploring but not ideal for comfort.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms had a beautiful view of the pool and harbor, but they were old-fashioned and either too hot or too cold since there was no wall thermostat.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking; I encountered some very young staff who were not polite or professional, which was disappointing.
Location
10.0
The hotel is in a perfect location, just a mile from the closest parts of Bar Harbor and very close to Acadia National Park.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was mediocre; despite a great selection at breakfast, the setup was chaotic with long queues and dirty tables.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities were decent, but nothing to write home about, and I expected a bit more from the amenities.

7.4/10

I had a decent stay at the hotel, which is located in a beautiful area with great potential. My room was fine, but I faced a few challenges, like the lack of an elevator in the Proctor Wing. Service was friendly but could use some improvement. The dining experience was a highlight for me with delicious options, though the price for breakfast could be better. Overall, it’s a mixed bag but still an okay value for the cost.

I stayed in the Proctor Wing, and while my room was comfortable, I found it a bit inconvenient because there was no elevator. Accessing ice and vending on the third floor was a little challenging.
Service
6.0
The staff was friendly and responsive, but I felt they could have addressed my concerns more effectively. When I mentioned the issues I faced, the front desk just smiled, which wasn't exactly helpful.
Location
8.0
The hotel is in a spot that has gorgeous views and a lovely pool area, but the towels felt a bit worn out. It’s nice and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, making it perfect for relaxation.
Dining
9.0
The dining options were surprisingly good! I really enjoyed the selection, especially the fresh salmon. The breakfast was a bit pricey at $16, but everything was delicious and elegantly presented.
Facilities

The pool area was nice and inviting, though I noticed it could use better maintenance. It's spacious and should be a great place to enjoy during warmer weather.

6.4/10

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. On the bright side, the location is perfect for visiting Acadia National Park, and the suite I stayed in was incredibly spacious and comfortable. However, there were some drawbacks, like the unpleasant smell in some areas and a few service hiccups that left me feeling a bit let down. Overall, it offered decent value for money, but it could use some improvements.

Rooms

The suite I stayed in was really spacious and comfortable, but there was this awful, moldy smell that I just couldn't ignore.
Service
5.0
The service wasn’t exactly top-notch. While the staff was nice, they didn’t seem very knowledgeable and didn’t help much when I reached out.
Location

The location is fantastic for those wanting to explore Acadia National Park, especially for catching a sunrise at Cadillac Mountain.
Dining

Dining here was just okay; the breakfast options could have been much better. It didn’t really wow me.
Facilities

The hotel had some nice amenities, but they were overshadowed by the poor upkeep in certain areas.

5.2/10

I recently stayed at this hotel and while it had some great aspects like a clean and recently updated room, there were also some downsides. The service was quite disappointing, particularly from one staff member, and the dining experience left a lot to be desired. However, the location was perfect, giving access to both the ocean view and Bar Harbor's nightlife. Overall, it was an okay stay but I believe they have room for improvement.

Rooms
7.0
The room I had was clean and seemed recently updated, which was nice. However, I faced an unfortunate view overlooking the garbage area.
Service
5.0
Service was really disappointing. The staff seemed a bit stressed and unfriendly, especially one particular staff member who was just not interested in helping.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, overlooking the ocean and very close to a free shuttle that took us to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. It was the best of both worlds for outdoor activities and nightlife.
Dining
5.0
Dining was a disaster both days. Even though there was a good selection at breakfast, the seating situation was poor with uncleaned tables and long queues.
Facilities
5.0
The fitness center left a lot to be desired — it only had a few crusty climbers and no weights or mats.
